Jakarta

The Jakarta leg of our trip was nice and restful. Since we were staying at Aunty Lisa's house, we had a lot of time for R&R.  Zoe really loved being in Oma Lisa's house -- she especially loved all the fish around the house!  She also instantly bonded with Aunty Lisa's maids, Dari and Narsi.  Even though they couldn't speak English and Zoe couldn't really speak Bahasa, they were fast friends nonetheless.  We enjoyed home cooked meals, freshly cut mangoes everyday, manicure/pedicure home service and of course, massages from "The Bear".

Zoe also had the opportunity to meet her cousins Hailey and Heidi.  It was Ama's birthday and we all got together at Table 8 (soooo good!) for a family reunion type of gathering.  It was great that Zoe got to meet the Sudjati side all in one shot!

It was such a blessing for Zoe to get to spend so much time with Oma Lisa.  With us being in the States and Oma Lisa just being able to visit a few times out of the year, I know our one-week stay at her house really meant a lot.  Zoe certainly got very attached to Oma ... always following her around and wanting to be near her at all times (not to mention she always got a treat from Oma -- whether it was ice cream or cookies!). Zoe also got the opportunity to tour Oma Lisa's work at Texas Chicken.  She met everyone from the executives to the staff at the store and loved every minute of it.  It was also my first time there, and my first time eating Texas Chicken, as well!

Our final dinner was at a 5-star restaurant called Ebeya.  We had our own private room and the food was EXCELLENT.  Om Rico and Aunty Lisa really made sure we left Jakarta in style =).  After going from place to place in Bali and Singapore, this one-week "home" stay was just what we needed to get back into relaxed vacation mode.  I know our 4 days in Manila will be quite busy, so I'm glad we got a chance to slow down a bit and R-E-L-A-X =)
