Back to school!

Summer break is slowing coming to a close which means it's BACK TO SCHOOL for Zoe!!! We've taken a break from our "formal" learning stuff but now we're back in the swing of things. Instead of the "My Baby Can Read" program, I'm starting to use the "Teach My Baby" material. Zoe seems to really enjoy it ... no matter what she's doing, if I say "Zoe, it's time for school!" she drops everything and excitedly runs to me and prepares herself for school. I love that she loves to learn ... hopefully we can keep this up!!!

Desi and Ace's Dr. Seuss party

Zoe is having one busy weekend!!! Today, after mass at the Cathedral, we attended Desi and Ace's Dr. Seuss party at the park. Desi turned 3 and Ace turned 1!! The party was super fun and filled with cute Dr. Seuss details that all the kids (and adults) loved! Zoe even got to "hit" a pinata for the first time!! And, since it was at the park, Zoe and Dada got some playground time =)

I always love seeing Zoe playing and interacting with other kids -- better yet, the kids of my dear friends =). It's always amazing to be able to spend time together with everyone!

Zoe's CCC pool party

Lately, once a month there's a CCC playdate. We never really intended it to be that way, but the kids and adults all love getting together =). Since the weather's been so hot lately, we decided to host a pool party at Mike's parent's house in Woodland Hills. Zoe loves to swim and we thought it would be fun to get all the kids in the pool. Everyone had such a blast ... even Ninong Kevin got to stop by later in the evening. We are so blessed to not only have great friends, but also great parents who so generously offer up their home and cook bbq for Zoe and her buddies!

PS: Zoe was EXHAUSTED by the end of the evening ... she was in the pool the longest and only had one nap ...
