New Home Sweet home!

The same day we arrived back to LA, we decided to get started on "moving" our stuff to the new house. After a quick visit at Sunbeam, we met up with Mike's dad to pack up some stuff in his big Yukon truck (seriously, we don't waste any time in this fam!).  Although we were exhausted, we knew it had to be done.

The bigger move happened the next day, Memorial Day, where both our families headed up to Oxnard to help us move into our new home.  Not sure what we would've done without them, and we were definitely grateful for all the extra hands on our moving day.  Even though we were only moving about 5 minutes away and Mike and I had been moving things little by little once we closed escrow, there was still A LOT of stuff to haul over and get situated in our new place.  Maymay was was "Zoe" duty the whole day so it freed me up to pack and un-pack.  Unfortunately, Zoe's molars were coming in and she developed her FIRST EVER fever the night before.  I'm just glad she waited until we got home (and not on the plane) to get her fever.  It was heartbreaking to see her so "out of it" ... I've never had to give her fever medicine before (and she hated it) and it made me so sad that there wasn't much I could do to make her feel better.  She was so warm she developed little hives on her legs =( ... I just kept telling her it was worth it since she could eat a lot more stuff once her molars came in.  She ended up sleeping most of the day with Maymay ...

So our moving day was a success.  My family "celebrated" by buying fresh crabs at HC Seafood at the Channel Island's Harbor ... can't quite believe we moved AGAIN and that once we turn this home into an assisted living facility, we'll be moving ... again =).  God's crazy plan strikes again!  Even though we'll only be living in our new home for about a year, we'll still do our best to make it a home.  So much to be thankful for -- a new home, a new business next year, a new adventure!!!

Welcome back to Cali!  Quick visit at
Sunbeam before heading back to Oxnard
Thanks Ninong Jay and Aunty Mao
for my Minnie Mouse headband!

You could never tell that this girl was just on a plane for 5 hours
and was starting to develop a fever from her molars ...

Even with a fever, she's still stylin' and happy =)
