Zoe and Jax's play date and a super packed weekend

We had another packed weekend!  This is the last weekend before my big surgery, so we definitely packed it in with lots of things to do =) ... Saturday was spent filling out pre-operation forms at the hospital.  It's finally sinking in that I am having surgery and that I'll be out of commission for 4-6 weeks =/ .

Sunday, after mass we stopped by our good friends Dennis and Dan's place for a "last hoorah" at their old apartment before they moved into their new townhouse.  The gathering was also to celebrate Dennis' birthday.  I MISS our friends and absolutely LOVE it when we can all get together.  We have definitely grown (and still growing) with all the kids, but it's still just as fun.  Zoe and Jax had the opportunity to play again (the first time they met Zoe farted so loud it scared Jax and made him cry!).  It was so cute to see the two of them interacting (now that they can both sit up) ... they were sharing toys -- which of course means swapping major spit =).  They both also had a Sophie giraffe that they kept giving to each other to chew on =).  Here's the video of their adorable play date:

I forgot to mention that before we went to the Yumuls, Monsignor Kevin anointed me and Mama Flory with chrism oil in preparation for my surgery and her radiation treatment for her neuralgia.  It was a beautiful reflection that Monsignor Kevin gave and it meant a lot for me to have my whole family there praying.  Although I was the one being anointed with the oil, I think my family also felt at peace after the blessing.  Again, I'm so super blessed to have Monsignor Kevin in my life ... he always knows exactly what I need to make me feel better and more at peace.  He is constantly showing me the face of Christ.

Later that evening we had another great CCC meeting.  Again, we came away super inspired and rejuvenated in our love.  That group is beyond amazing and we really love getting to know all the couples and learning about how they love one another and keep Christ at the center of it all.  Although we came home late again it was another wonderful and blessed weekend for us.  Even though our weekends are so crazy packed, it's definitely a blessing that we have so many opportunities to spend time with people we love and also get to relax and have fun!  Life is goooooooood!
