Dinner with D&D

Dennis and Danrochelle invited a bunch of us over to say "thank you" for throwing them a great baby shower.  I LOVE it when the Yumuls cook =) ... their theme for the evening was "American food" so Dennis prepared chicken pot pie with filo dough, meatloaf, chili and cornbread and fresh guacamole.  Everything was AMAZING!  What was even more amazing was the conversation.  We were literally cracking up about 90% of the time!!!  We decided to leave Zoe at home so it was nice to be able to just relax and hang out with the gang.  In just a few weeks, little Phoebe will be here and will change their life in the most beautiful way.  It was nice to be able to see them pre-Phoebe and just enjoy each other's company.   I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends like the Yumuls (and every one else that was there that evening).  True friendships are really rare and it's amazing that we all get to grow up and experience life together! I know that we'll be having these little get together thingamabobs for a very long time and all our kids will get to be good friends, too.  I suggested tonight that when our kids get a little older, I'd like to have a movie night with us and all our kids ... but instead of watching the latest flick , I want to introduce our kids to the movies we all loved when we were kids ... like Goonies ... or Indiana Jones ... or Princess Bride ... or Dirty Dancing =).  I want our kids (especially mine) to be able to know what "good" movies actually are ... plus, it would be a great excuse for all of us to get together and watch the "classics" =)
