After mass today, we FINALLY took Tasha and Lawrence out for their birthdays. It was also a celebration brunch for Tash's recent promotion. Jay and Mao joined in on the fun as well so it was a triple date + Zoe =). We had a GREAT time (how can you not with all that pancake yumminess?) ... it was Tash, Lawrence and Mao's first time so it was fun to see their reactions when the ginormous pancakes rolled out. Since me, Mike and Jay have all been there before, we knew better than to let our eyes do the ordering and instead just ordered two kinds of pancakes (banana nana and hear me roar) for the entire table to share + some egg dishes (eggs benedict + a couple of scrambles). We almost ordered some stuffed french toast but ultimately decided against it since we knew it was already overboard what we ordered =). Everyone loved the food and it was fun getting together. We have to do triple dates more often =). Zoe was a trooper as always (although she was a bit anxious in the beginning because it was so loud and crowded in there).
After Griddle we all went our separate ways and we met up at Westlake Village Inn for another debut meeting before heading back to the Nard.
For some reason this weekend felt like it went faster than other weekends ... time to start a new week!
