After mass today, we were interviewed for the Cathedral's 10th anniversary gala video. The organizers wanted to put together a video documenting the cathedral community and various programs over the past 10 years. We were definitely honored to be one of the "highlighted" families. They said the fact that we drive all the way from Oxnard just to attend mass and are so involved with the wedding orientation program and CCC, was a wonderful example of how dedicated and great the Cathedral community truly is =). When Monsignor Kevin initially asked us if we'd be up for it, he said we'd probably only be in the video for about 10-15 seconds so the interview should only be about 30 minutes. Well ... the interview ended up being almost 2 hours (poor Zoe!) so I have no idea how much footage they will actually use. They documented us all throughout mass as well as us socializing afterwards. They even got footage of Zoe playing in the children's garden. Regardless of how much footage they end up using, we really are so happy to be able to represent our wonderful parish in this way. It's soooo easy for us to say great things about the Cathedral because it genuinely holds a great place in our hearts. We are always happy to help out whenever we can and we welcome all opportunities to give back to place that's given our family so much ...
PS: I have no idea what Zoe was doing in the video ... she was sitting on my lap the entire time so I couldn't see her face. Since it was her nap time, I tried to get her to keep still by giving her lots and lots of snacks. Here's to hoping she wasn't picking her nose or had a face full of crumbs!!!
