My little helper @ yogurtland

Breaking news!! Zoe is no longer afraid of the vacuum!  Which basically means I no longer have to carry her in the bjorn while I vacuum!! Woohooo!!!  Now that she's a bit older and is now comfortable in our new home, it's actually a lot easier to clean the house.  Before, I would have to wait until she took a nap and then would race to clean all the bathrooms and somehow not wake her up while I vacuumed the house.  Now, she wants to watch me clean and get involved.  As I'm dusting, she's dusting too.  As I'm vacuuming, she's carefully watching me and making sure the cord doesn't get stuck on any furniture =).  On laundry days, she gladly helps me put the clothes into the washing machine and dryer. She understands that dishes have to be washed and patiently waits for me to finish before dragging me to go play with her. I'm glad I have such a great little helper! As a special treat, I took her to yogurtland for "helping" mommy on cleaning day (even though "helping" mostly meant "letting mommy clean").  I know as she gets older, I'll be able to assign her more chores around the house and can help develop a good work ethic for when she goes out into the real world ... hey, it's never too early to learn how to work hard, right? ;-)
