Park day!

With Summer in full swing, I figured it was time to get Zoe out of the house and enjoy the nice weather.  Besides, now that she's older, she LOVES being around little people ... I decided I would make more of an effort to take her somewhere "fun" at least once a week.  I loosely designated Thursdays as our "adventure days" ... today's adventure took place at Oxnard Beach Park.  They have a great playground and there's always lots of kids her age to play with.

Zoe had a lot of fun at the park -- she did the slide all by herself and couldn't get enough!!! She also met a couple of friends as well.  It's so nice seeing her interact with other kids ... she's super friendly and outgoing and it makes me happy to see her so happy.  I really have to remind myself that she's a child and that staying at home all day everyday or running errands with mommy isn't always the most fun. I know that being around other kids and in a social environment is important for her development and I hope that Adventure Thursdays will help her along =).  I want to be the type of mom that provides a great environment for her kid(s) to grow and flourish and discover the amazing gifts with which they have been blessed. We had so much fun today ... I'm already excited for our next adventure!!!
