Getting paid in smiles

Today is November 1st and while it's also All Saint's Day and Monica's birthday, it also is the start of the month that features THANKSGIVING. I'm not usually a fan of the usual Thanksgiving fanfare (I like the idea of getting together with family but I can't say I'm crazy about turkey), but I am a fan of what the holiday represents. While I hope most people take the time to reflect on their blessings more often, I do like that there's at least one day in the year where it's almost impossible to not think about what you're thankful for in your life.

So as I was playing with Zoe earlier today, I realized for the one billionth time since I had her, just how blessed I am to not only be her mom, but to be able to spend all day with her. I know most women would kill to be in my position and I thank God every single day for the blessing of my situation. Yes I miss work from time to time, but I really do LOVE my new job as a stay-at-home mommy and wife. I literally get paid in smiles and kisses and hugs and giggles and there's just nothing more satisfying than that (I'm FINALLY in the top-tier earning bracket). I would not trade any of this for anything. I have no idea how long I'll be able to stay at home with Zoe and my future kids, but I do know that I don't take this blessing for granted. How awesome is it that I work for a boss that I love beyond measure! So I guess I am employed at Zoe Grace, LLC where she is the CEO, Mike is the CFO and I am the COO =) ... the benefits are AMAZING ... the hours are long but worth every second ... and I am in a position where I feel like I'm growing and learning every single day. Seriously -- BEST.JOB.EVER!!!
