My little helper

Wednesdays are usually my cleaning days but since I ran a few errands this week, I ended up pushing cleaning day to today.  When Zoe was younger, I used to wait until she was napping to vacuum the house (for some reason babies don't wake up to the sound of a vacuum cleaner).  But now that she's a little bit older, she seems to enjoy helping me clean.  I put her on the bjorn and we vacuum the entire house together (I now do the bathrooms and the dusting while she naps).  She really loves it! As we were vacuuming this afternoon, I got a glimpse of how funny and cute we looked in the mirror so I decided to take a picture of us two hardworking women =)

I always make sure to thank Zoe at the end of each of our cleaning sessions.  I thank her for her hard work and willingness to help out mommy.  Like I said, she seems to really enjoy being my little helper.  When she gets a little bit older, I want her to know the importance of doing her part to keeping our house clean.  I don't ever want her to feel entitled to anything and I feel teaching her the value of hard work is one of the most important lessons she must learn (the earlier the better) in order to do well in life ...
