I'm a TWI-MOM!

Finally ... the night of the midnight premiere of Breaking Dawn has come!!!  Although I found out just a couple of days ago that I had tickets to watch this movie it seems as if I was waiting forever for Thursday evening to get here =) ... I tried to busy myself the past couple of days by running errands and cleaning the house but I still found myself crazy excited to leave Oxnard for a few hours to hang out with my girlfriends and enjoy an awesome movie.  Mike got home at 6 and I ended up leaving about 6:45 to meet up for dinner in Sherman Oaks at Cheesecake Factory with my girlfriends.  We warned our waitress that we would be there for a very long time since our movie didn't start until midnight.  Even though we were at the restaurant for over 3 hours, it was actually nice to be able to just sit and chill and hang out.  For the first time in a long time, I didn't have to worry about a baby getting bored or sleepy or hungry.  I could actually take my time with my meal and enjoy meaningful conversation =).  It was also the first time I left Zoe with Mike for more than one hour.  I think he was a little nervous but I knew he'd do great =) ... he requested that I not give Zoe a bath so that he could have something to do with her in the evening (just in case he ran out of things to do with her).  So there we were (most of us mommys) just hanging out and enjoying our meal.  We weren't trying to forget we had kids or anything -- quite the contrary, actually.  We talked about our kids A LOT ... it was just nice to be able to take a little break from mommy-hood and doing something silly like watch a midnight showing with a bunch of teenagers =).  One funny thing that did happen was there apparently was some kind of bomb scare at the Sherman Oaks Galleria.  Janel and Shannon weren't able to get into the complex for a while since all entrances were blocked off by the police.  During dinner, the cops actually went into Cheesecake Factory and evacuated everyone!  They said don't worry about paying for the bill ... we just had to get out immediately.  So me and my girlfriends all walked out of the restaurant thinking we scored ourselves a free meal ... none of us had ever "dined and ditched" before and we were actually kind of giddy about the whole thing ... until, of course, we saw Cherrie walking towards us with a receipt.  Apparently, she didn't walk out of there quickly enough (she blamed her short legs) and our waitress ended up catching up to her and handed her our bill.  So much for dining and ditching!!!  I didn't really care either way ... I was just afraid we wouldn't be able to watch our midnight showing!  Luckily, everything turned out okay and we were let back into the restaurant (and our movie!) ...

The movie of course was AMAZING.  It was the best movie out of the series yet.  Although there weren't too many action scenes, it was a different kind of action.  The movie was pretty intense and emotional (I found a way to cry of course).  I LOVED it and was excited to be able to watch it again with Michael.  When we all got seated at the theater all the girls said out loud "thanks Mike!" and I was so proud of how sweet my husband was to get all my girlfriends a ticket to make sure our annual tradition carried on =) ...

I didn't get home until past 3 AM and got home to Zoe and Michael asleep in my bed.  Because of the coffee I had I wasn't able to sleep until 6ish but it was all worth it.   I was a twi-mom this year and had the best time.  Not only did I get to enjoy a wonderful movie with great friends, but I also got to come home to a wonderful family.  Nothing could make me happier.  Truly, I'm super blessed!!!
